Junior Hunt weekend

What a SUPER weekend! Giving our junior riders, the future fox hunters of America, a chance to enjoying riding across the bean fields, the corn stubble and the county roads in our Yutan country. We had riders as young as 7 facing the challenges of riding out of the arena. The North Hills Hunt beagles led by Huntsman David Kruger with support from whipper-ins  MFH Dave Keffeler, Breanna Orsborn and  Nancy Evans.  Ella, 7 years old, rode up front with Huntsman David!

There were 31 riders with two flights. Ex-MFH Mary Lynn Frost led first flight and what a time that group had! Cantering across the fields, laughing and carrying on =)

I led the walk-trot group and there was some brave riders, their courage tested as they rode across the open fields. We did have one ground tester, but he shook it off, got back on and finished the hunt.

Thank you to Vicki Krecek, Sharon Lewis and Pat Waters for providing lunch for everyone!
