Hello,

What a great weekend in Burwell! So much was accomplished =) All the coops (except 3) were cleaned up, repaired and made ready for the Performance Trials.

Today we hunted from The Matranga’s. Huntsman Dave, Professional Whipper-in Bre, whips Catherine, Jubilee and Jay. I was the FM and the field was Diane A, Brit and Adam Gengenbach, Michelle and Harper Tjardes, Bray Duckworth and Sherry Jarvis.

Tjardes and boys.

The hounds worked well and Bre and Catherine viewed our very first coyote of the season! It was so humid and hot that the hounds were overwhelmed by the heat. Huntsman Dave collected all the hounds and went in search of water.

After a good drenching, we set off again in search of the viewed coyote. We had a moment of wild riding and Huntsman Dave cowboyed up and show us what REAL riding looks like.

We didn’t find anything, so we hacked home, stopping for a quick WW break.

A fabulous lunch spread was laid out by the Tjardes family. Five different sandwich meats, cheeses, fruit, watermelon, chips and a variety of brownies.

I gained several pounds this weekend.

This Wednesday is the Safe Rider Program at The Farm. Please RSVP to Bre.

Sunday is the Puppy Paloosa!
